How to make your gel manicure last 3+ weeks
Five habits that keep your gels glossy, chip-free, and beautiful long after you leave the studio.

A proper gel manicure should easily last three weeks. If yours aren't making it past week two, one of these habits is probably the culprit.
1. Oil your cuticles. Every day.
Cuticle oil keeps the nail flexible and the skin hydrated, which means fewer hairline cracks. Keep a pen-style oil in your bag and apply morning and night.
2. Wear gloves for dishes
Hot water + soap is rough on gel. Rubber gloves for dishes and cleaning buys you another week of shine.
3. Don't use your nails as tools
Opening cans, peeling stickers, scraping labels — all tiny mechanical stress that chips the free edge. Keep a small blade or coin in your bag instead.
4. Book a fill, not a full set
If your nails are healthy, a two-week fill is gentler and keeps length consistent. Full removals every time wear the natural nail thin.
5. Let us know when it's time
Lifting or peeling? Come see us — don't pick. Picking takes a layer of your natural nail with it and slows down the next appointment.
